Little Girl on Back of Daddy's WheelchairListed below you will find other web sites for parents with disabilities, or general disability web sites that have information or resources for parents. Did we miss any? Let us know!

    • Through the Looking Glass (TLG) is a nationally recognized non-profit agency that provides direct services, training, materials and research concerning families in which a child, parent or grandparent has a disability or medical issue.

    • Disabled Parents Network This UK organization (organisation?) provides information, resources, and support for parents with disabilties.

    • Monthly Online Parenting Chat-- The Parenting Monthly Online Chat is put on by the Canadian Abilities Foundation, Enablelink, and the Centre for Independent Living in Toronto (CILT). First Tuesday of every month, 9:00 pm to 10:00 pm, EST. Here's how to participate:
      1. Go to www.abilities.ca
      2. Click on ENABLELINK
      3. Click on COMMUNICATION CENTRE
      4. Click on DISABILITY CHAT
      5. Follow instructions to REGISTER (free)

    • MS Moms This site is targeted toward women (particularly parents) who are living with MS. It includes a discussion board and library, among other resources.

    • Sexual Health Network Home Page This site, developed by Mitch Tepper, a dad with a disability, discusses issues of sexuality and reproductive health for people with disabilities. Parents concerned about web safety for their children should note that this site contains frank discussion of sexuality issues, but this is definitely an informative site, and not a "sex trash" site. That said, we believe that since sexuality is a part of what leads to parenting for most of us in the first place, it is important that we include this information here. It is one of the best and most all-inclusive sites on this subject that we've seen.
